Challenger Day Volunteer Sign Up

Due to inclement weather, Challenger Day has been rescheduled again, this time for Sunday, June 10, at the BPALL's Field of Dreams. It's a special event, providing children with disabilities an opportunity to play baseball and have fun. We strongly encourage everyone to participate.

There are many opportunities to help out and log service hours, including setting up Saturday afternoon, setting up Sunday morning, directing traffic and parking, and breaking things down after the event. Please sign up with the dates and hours you can volunteer.

Our troop will be serving as color guard at the opening ceremony at 10 a.m. Sunday. Show up 9:30 a.m. Sunday in Class A uniforms. (You can bring a change of clothes and sneakers for afterward.)

Our older scouts (upper middle school and high school) will find it especially rewarding to be player "buddies" for children, helping them to bat, run bases, and so on. To get a flavor of the event, see this highlight reel from 2015, the last time BPALL hosted Challenger Day:
