Family Ski Trip, Jack Frost, Feb 22-23, 2020.
Post date: Feb 04, 2020 2:46:32 AM
Our annual two-day ski trip will be at Jack Frost this year. This trip is open to siblings and other family members. We will stay overnight at YMCA Camp Kresge in White Haven, PA. We will be in a heated facility with bunk beds, but scouts should bring sleeping bags.
We will leave 7 AM Saturday, Feb 22, from Berwyn United Methodist Church (BUMC) and return to BUMC approximately 5 PM Sunday, Feb 23.
You must RSVP by February 11. Email Steve Ostien directly at email@example.com and indicate names, relationship (scout, parent, sibling, etc.), and which option below for each individual. The options and cost breakdown are as follows:
If you have your own equipment and helmet = $128. Includes 2 day lift tickets, one night of lodging, dinner, and breakfast
If you rent equipment and want lessons = $165. Includes 2 day lift tickets, rentals, 2 lessons (one on each day), one night of lodging, dinner and breakfast.
If you rent equipment and don’t want lessons = $155 for scouts, $165 for adults. Includes 2 day lift tickets, rentals, lodging, dinner and breakfast.
Helmet rentals are separate = $10 each day, for a total of $20. All youths MUST wear a helmet.
If you plan to rent ski equipment at Jack Frost, you must complete the attached Jack Frost rental form and bring to our troop meeting February 18. Also bring payment and the completed troop consent form (2nd page of the trip fact sheet).
Be aware that you can rent ski equipment for the weekend from ski retailers like Buckman’s in King of Prussia. This can save time as you don’t need to get fitted at Jack Frost. However, it does mean you will have to transport the equipment to and from Jack Frost. It may also end up costing more because of the favorable deal with Jack Frost that weekend.
