Welcome to Troop 181

Established in 1930 in Paoli, Pennsylvania state. Troop 181 has been nurturing and developing tomorrow’s leaders for more than 90 years. The founder of the Scouting movement, Lord Baden-Powell, called scouting “a game with a purpose.” The game is fun and adventure. The purpose is to teach leadership and values.

We’re a moderate-sized but diverse boys’ troop of 20 to 30 scouts. A scout in Troop 181 is not lost among the masses and have opportunities to take on leadership roles.

Visitors are welcome at our troop meetings. The scouts meet 7 PM Tuesdays at Berwyn United Methodist Church (BUMC) during the school year (except the Tuesday after monthly camping trips and any Tuesdays that fall during a school break at Tredyffrin/Easttown School District).

Parents’ meetings are usually held 7:30 PM the first Sunday of the month in the library at BUMC.
